Credentials:
Mr. Elliott Small, Chairman, Board of Directors. Mr. Small is a graduate of Harvard College where he majored in Biochemical Sciences. He has travelled extensively, visiting numerous countries, including parts of North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He began his involvement in preventive and anti-aging health by establishing a web site in 1998, which now expanded into MyHealthSpan.com. His business career has also included computer consulting and other technology related projects.
Dr. Edward A. Layne, M.D., President. BA: Harvard, MD: Tulane, post-graduate medical studies: Harvard. He has served as Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School, a Regional Director of the Georgetown Community Health Plan, Georgetown University Medical School and as Director of Clinical Medicine at Morehouse Medical School. Practice: Atlanta, Georgia specializing in Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, with a focus on Preventive Health.
Board of Scientific Advisors (BSA). The BSA is an advisory body which consists of individuals who are recognized as experts in their fields. The BSA assists the Board of Directors in the evaluation of scientific content and "quality" issues. The BSA provides advice to the Board on future research direction within each of the sub-committee areas. The BSA assists the Board in evaluating proposed projects, cooperative agreements and contracts, in order to ensure that they are in keeping with the stated goals and mission of The Health Span Centers.
