Choosing

I've never done this. Which one?+
Focus gives you the essentials, explained, with one coaching session. If you want hormones, thyroid and iron in the picture, start with Baseline.
Baseline or Complete. Focus doesn't carry hormone markers.
Yes. Your coach will tell you if a fuller picture would help, and you can move to the next membership at your renewal.
Answer five questions and we'll suggest one. It takes about two minutes and it's a membership match, not a health assessment.

The draw

How much blood is taken?+
A few small tubes, the same as a routine blood test at a lab. The visit takes about 15 minutes.
Yes, for most panels. You'll get instructions when you book; water is fine.
Tell your phlebotomist. They do this all day, they'll have you lie down if that helps, and they won't rush you.
Confirms who you are, takes the draw, and takes your body measurements: blood pressure, height, weight and waist. Then the samples go to the lab the same day.

Results and coaching

When do I get results?+
In about 4 to 5 days on average, in the app. You'll get a notification when they're ready.
A licensed nurse practitioner orders your tests and reviews every result before it's released to you. If something needs attention, they contact you.
Answer to confirm: answer not in the export
Tells you which two or three things matter, what to do first, and helps you plan it. Focus includes one session, Baseline two, Complete four across the year. Book as soon as your results are in.

Add-ons

Can I buy an add-on without a membership?+
No. Add-ons are for members, after your first results, usually on your coach's recommendation.
In the app, once your coach has recommended it or you've talked it through with them.
APOE and hereditary DNA tests, a 14-day continuous glucose monitor, a cognitive assessment, VO2 max and a DEXA scan. Packs group them by question.

Where we are

Where is lab walk-in available?+
Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba, at any Dynacare location.
A phlebotomist comes to you for the at-home draw, in every province. Lab walk-in is available at any Dynacare location in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.

Money

How am I charged?+
Once a year, when you join and at each renewal. There are no monthly or quarterly payments.
Yes. Memberships are HSA eligible. Your receipt is available in the app.

Privacy

Where is my data stored?+
In Canada. MyHealthspan is the custodian of your health records under PHIPA and PIPEDA.
We don't sell it, we don't share it with employers or insurers, and we don't use it for anything you haven't agreed to.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's testing, explained. A nurse practitioner reviews your results and your doctor gets what they need. Nothing here diagnoses or treats anything.
