FAQ: Before you book

How long does the draw take?+

About 15 minutes at home. A lab walk-in visit is usually as quick once you're seen.

Do I need to fast?+

Fasting isn't required for Focus or Baseline, but we recommend at least 8 hours if you can. It makes results like glucose and triglycerides more accurate and easier to interpret. Complete requires a 14-hour fast because the fatty acid panel needs it. You'll get instructions when you book, and water is fine.

Who reviews my results?+

A licensed nurse practitioner reviews every blood test result. Results can appear in your app before that review is complete.

What does the coach actually do?+

Walks you through what your results mean, tells you which few things matter, and helps you plan what to do first.

I'm not in Ontario, Quebec, or Manitoba.+

A phlebotomist comes to you for the at-home draw, in every province. Lab walk-in is available at any Dynacare location in Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba.

When do I get my results?+

About 4 to 5 days after your draw for all three memberships. A few Complete markers take longer: the fatty acid and heavy metal panels need deeper processing and can take up to 18 days, so those results arrive after the rest.
